YEC vs. YEC
As I go around the web from site to site to gather information on creation etc..., I notice a growing trend from sites who claim to protect the word of God while promoting creation. This trend is to find any other creationist that does not agree with their opinion, or the way things happened, in their opinion, and do personal attacks on them. The information that is listed about each person they attack, really has no evidence to back it up what is claimed that would stand up in a court of law. The only thing that I keep seeing as backup is that: so and so said it so it must be true.
As an example, I will use the two most well known sites for creation Answers in Genesis (AIG), and Institute for Creation Research (ICR). On their websites, they list other Creation Scientists and list their views. If their views do not jive with the site owners views, then the views of that person are mocked. The person themselves are personally attacked. Their personal information is also sometimes listed. Where they got their education is always questioned. One Creation Scientist had to put up a seperate website that listed the school, the picture of it (because some sites said it was a fake school). Show a picture of his doctrine etc...
Trusting what others say.
One of the main problems that I see is that people tend to trust to much in the creditibility of another to never question what is said. Example: A forum I used to go to quite often, spoke badly of one creationist scientist alot, and still do. They even had me wondering about the guy. Because even some Christians were agreeing with what was being said by the non-Christians.
While flipping the channels on my satalite t.v., I ran across this guy giving a lecture. There was nothing else on so I watched. I soon learned that all that had been said was mere speculations, and some, I would even say, were flat out lies (I do not like using the word lie or liar to often, but it seems fitting because of what I've heard said about the guy). One person, at this forum, went as far as to set up a fake website that was actually his computer. His fake website was imitating a local police website, in this guys area that they wanted to discredit, with the information provided. I realized it was fake when the link went to an IP address instead of an actual www. address. Needless to say, the site soon disappeared. But the damage had been done. The site listed said that this Creation scientist had been arrested for certain things and had been in trouble with the law several times. So if this were true, why the fake site?
So who is the guy spoke of? Kent Hovind . Of course some of you reading this already knew that.
Creation vs. God?
When I go to these sites, that attack other creationists, for their views, the way they do. The only thing that comes to mind is that these sites have allowed the subject of creation, along with their views on the subject, become their God. Why would I say that? Go look at their site. Do you see much of God's view expressed? Or more of the view of the subject of creation expressed? God created and we had nothing to do with it. So why all the attacks? Hmmm? Pride! The pride of knowledge, to show someone what you know, or think you know more than anyone else always seperates you from the will of God. And when you take to much pride in something, you start feeling the need to protect it, to go as far as to smear someone else's name if need be.
So what makes this site different?
I will not make individual attacks on people. I only make general refences. While trying to find out why some sites attack people in this way, I e-mailed one to ask why. The reponse I got I did not expect. But it did go along with what I already said on this subject above. The reponse was (to the point and to make a long e-mail short): That these other creationists or scientists lie, and that the lies have to be stopped... Really? Lets break this down.
1) To be able to say someone is lying about creation, you'd first have to know all there is to know on the subject. There's only one person that knows, the Creator Himself. And what He did is written in His word.
2) God spoke things into existance. To be able to say that someone lies about how this is done, again you would have to know how it's done and the limitations, if any.
3) The only reference there is to creation, is God's word. So if what is said does not go along with his word then it can only be a possibility and not a fact.
Example: The word Firmament is used through out the creation in the book of Genesis. Because there are some who believe more in the creation than the Creator. They say this Firmament (as a physical thing) is impossible. Why is it impossible? Because in the view of science says it is. But what about the view of God?... So do you see where the views of a person more willing to believe in science or the subject of creation more, disregards the ability of God. Who can claim they know the power of God, and all that He can do? Anyone?
At this site, this is my goal. To show evidence for creation, and to not seperate creation from the Creator. Either God did it the way He said, or He did not do it at all. Does God have the ability to lie? And will a liar be able to be in heaven?... All liars shall have their place in the lake of fire that burns forever. So if you don't believe God did it the way He said He did, remember, on any subject, there can be only one truth. And the other is a untruth. You have to make your decision on what your gonna believe. And if it goes against God's word, you'd better be right. For if your not, do you think God is gonna tollerate what you have called Him by making this decision? For their can only be one liar who can be sentenced to Hell.
