Kent Hovind
New:
Kent Hovind gets 10 years in prison: PNJ news.
My opinion about this: As a Christian we should look at this as an example of what happens when we try and do carnal works:
| Carnal works are when we spend our time and energy trying to do only what God can do. |
This is what Kent Hovind did. He spent to much time trying to fight Cesar, and wasted time that could have been used for saving souls for the kingdom and convincing people for creation. He was not weighting what was more important to what the goal of a ministry is supposed to be. So because Hovind kept to this trail, he will get to walk this trail around his mountain of trouble until he learns this lesson. The lesson that you cannot fight a fight that only God can win. And you cannot decide what is more important as far as God is concerned.
As a creation ministry, will you still support Hovind? Yes. You don't bail out just because someone makes a mistake. Or someone falls. For if Christ treated us the way we would like to treat Hovind (a flesh response), because we are afraid of what someone might think, how many of us would be still saved? If we separate from Hovind for this one thing, then we also give more fuel for the fire that evolutionists have already started against creation.
Are you worried about the damage to the image of this ministry? If I worried about what everyone thought about this ministry, it would not be what it is today. The only person any ministry should worry about, is the one person in which each ministry should be based upon, which is God. If the decision about this is more made upon how a ministry will look to others, then you have missed the point. Did Christ ever worry about how it looked as He preached and teached? Nope. People will think what they want regardless of what we do. Trying to do damage control is one of the main things that is wrong with most ministries today. What will people think if we do that? Where is God in that type of thinking?
What is your main reason for sticking behind Hovind? Many Christians believe in him, and he has brought many to Christ. To abandon him, is to also abandon them. I will not make a decision that will separate the body of Christ to the tune of losts souls. Just because I am worried about how I look. A creation ministry should not be out there to impress those behind science. It should be out there with the main goal of saving souls for the kingdom.
The Body of Christ is supposed to be one. As a creation ministry, if we do not stand as one on this issue. We do more harm than good. Why? We force Christians to make a decision about who they will go with. When the actual decision should be for Christ always. We should not be making people choose within the Body of Christ, when the one choice should be clear. The only choice that makes the Body of Christ one.
Hovind broke the law, why should he still be considered inside the body of Christ? Does one sin condemn you? If you ask forgivness, and repent. Would not Christ forgive? Then who are we to make such judgements about people Christ has forgiven? We are not supposed to judge. For can anyone take the place of God? For who is the only real being that will make the decision about who enters heaven? So if you judge Hovind here, you are trying to be God here. Can you say you have such knowledge as God to make such judgements? And if so, I'd like to see verses supporting such knowledge.
So what do you think other creation ministries should do concerning this? Do what Christ would do. Forgive, and then stand behind Hovind. United we stand, divided we fall. It can't be any clearer than that.
Is it only Christians that come against Cesar (our government) and not want to pay taxes? Nope. Wesley Snipes has been recently arrested for doing the same thing.
| The charge against Snipes includes allegations that he filed a false amended return including a false tax refund claim of over $4 million for the year 1996 and a false amended return including a false tax refund claim of over $7.3 million for the year 1997. The government alleges in the indictment that Snipes attempted to obtain fraudulent tax refunds using a discredited "tax protester theory" called the 861 arguement (essentially, an argument that the domestic income of U.S. citizens and residents should not be taxable). The indictment said Snipes used accountants who already had a history of filing false returns to obtain refund payments for their clients. Under the alleged deal, the firm American Rights Litigators was to receive, from the clients, an amount equal to 20 percent of the tax refunds obtained for those clients. |
So for the evolutionists who try and maintain that it is only Christian fundies who do this. Here is an example of a atheist-evolutionist fundie who did the same thing. But you won't see this discussed on their forums, and website to the extent of hatred that you will it discussed about Hovind. But then again it's ok if they do it. Their favorite slogan: Do as we say, but not as we do.
Here is a Kent Hovind video for download called: Why evolution is stupid. (link) It's in high quality windows media format, plus full screen in size. Which makes the file big (over 300megs). To download just click the link. If you have a fast enough connection, copy and paste the link in windows meadia player by opening the file option. Then select open url, then paste the link and video will play instead of download.
Now back to what was on this page....
New: Recently, while surfing the web using a search engine. I ran into a back door to this guys website, and was able to view his videos on Hovind. I also e-mailed him to try and tell him that his site could be hacked through this back door. But I guess he does not read mail from those who believe YEC. Anyway, his video accuses Hovind of taking clips from another source that is copyrighted, and use it on his videos. Problem is, he did it also. I downloaded a video on this belief he is pushing called universalism. Now I know he did not go and film these video clips that he has from all over the world. They were more than likely from CNN, or BBC, or maybe PBS. All which are copyrighted as well. It just goes to show that the way these people think, is that it is always alright if they do it, but if someone else does it (if he can prove Hovind did), it's not ok. Their favorite slogan: Do as I say, not as I do.
I have converted this guys video to another format that is much smaller than he had. And because it takes up less than 75% of the original size (almost 100 megs, now it's less than 10 megs), I will offer to view it off this website. As you watch this video, notice how religion is made fun of. And how Kent Hovind is also used in this video. How the Christian faith is made to look like the other religions around the world that are very violent. Then when it comes to what this person wants to promote, notice that science is the first word in a category of words he wants you to believe in. Then through the religion of universalism, he would like to promote all of this to all who would view it. And as you watch this, can you tell where science fits in, in eliminating the Christian faith? I have also made this into a screen saver format that is clearer and will be made to pass around. You have to have flash installed to watch the online version from the link below.
Science becomes a religion through universalism.
Screen saver video. (a little over 50 megs) And you have to have at least a 1 gig cpu computer to be fast enough to play screen saver. Because the file format for the screen saver is in flash also, it uses the cpu, not your video card. Because flash uses direct play, which is not the same as direct x.
Just to show how much atheist hate Hovind. Here's this same guy who made that video above. Going to all the trouble to go to a creation conference to get pics of himself with Hovind. So he can post them here: http://www.infidelguy.com/ftopict-17219-I-met-Hovind-amp-Jason-Gastrics-pics.html and else where to mock Hovind even more. Like the one poster said: Poor boy, that's time you won't be able to get back. How true that was. What an obsession
Here's the real reason why Hovind is hated so by anyone who believes science over God:
Kent Hovind's 250,000 dollar challenge.
New info: I often see the question asked about where would Kent Hovind get the money to pay the 250,000 dollar challenge. Kent put up part of the money, and some lawyers put up the rest. Now for lawyers to be certain to risk a 1/4 of a million dollars, it must be an open and shut case. I also hear that there were some offers to take it up even higher (500,000-1,000,000 with backing from more firms), but Kent did not want to do that. I guess because he is not about taking everything he does to extremes. And it probably keeps money hungry nut cases from wasting his time.
Through this challenge, Hovind has proved that evolution is nothing more than a belief and support mechanism, for a religion that is based on unprovable theories. I'm not sure how long this challenge has been up, but this website has been up for a year and a half. And we have heard of this challenge since starting this ministry. Even though they have had some who have tried, none can get by the truth factor required that brings a theory from being unprovable, to being an absolute truth. Everyday this challenge stays up, it proves more and more about what evolution really is. A fantasy made by men, who want to deny God. Who would rather not retain God in their knowledge, but would search and make excuses, to reaffirm their disbelief in a Creator. Their excuse for theories not becoming absolute truth? That's not how science works.... Those words could not be truer.
A theory is a set of believable variables that look and sound great. Question is, how many unprovable ideas does it take to make an absolute truth? Absolute truth is one word, besides God and creation, that is hated more than any other word. Absolute truth means that you become accountable. You have to show that there are no flaws in whatever you are presenting. Theory always allows flaws. Flaws are not only things that are unexplainable, but also leave the door open for assumptions to be made. Assumptions leave the door open for mistakes. And mistakes lead to lies. Absolute truth says: Prove it! Theory just says: prove it to some degree, and we'll accept it, if it's passes our peer view. So science controls all that science is about. Your view is nothing unless they approve it. The only thing that is absolute where science is concerned, is their absolute power over all that pertains to it.
If you question that, your in for one heck of a fight, which includes personal attacks by those who hide behind user names. Cowards I call them. Their Coward slogan: I do unto others what I don't want done unto me.
